The Nigeria Maritime University (NMU) has announced a change in the resumption date for the 2024/2025 academic session.

- Sunday, 5 January 2025: Fresh students resume.
- Monday, 6 January 2025: Clearance for fresh students begins.
- Sunday, 12 January 2025: Returning students resume.
- Monday, 13 January 2025: Lectures commence.
