University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) has published the supplementary admission list for the 2024/2025 academic session.

This list includes candidates admitted into first-degree programmes through UTME and Direct Entry.

How to Check the Admission List

The list is available online.

Candidates can view it by visiting the UNN Supplementary Admission List.

Steps for Candidates Offered Admission

Candidates must complete the admission process by following these steps:

  • Upload O/Level Results on JAMB Portal
    • Visit a JAMB-approved CBT centre for the upload.
    • Submit evidence of upload and JAMB CAPS admission status to the Admissions Office.
    • Admission will not be processed without this step.
  • Accept Admission on JAMB CAPS
    • Log in to the JAMB Portal.
    • Click “Accept Admission” to confirm the offer.
    • Candidates who do not accept the offer will not receive a JAMB admission letter.
  • Generate Payment Invoice
    • Visit UNN Portal and log in with JAMB registration details.
    • Generate and download a Payment Invoice containing a Remitta number.
    • This invoice allows payment at any commercial bank, including UNN Microfinance Bank.
  • Pay the Acceptance Fee
    • The acceptance fee is N30,000.
    • Ensure the correct invoice number is provided at the bank.
    • Collect a confirmation slip containing the Confirmation number and Invoice number.
  • Print Admission Slip and Complete Acceptance Form
    • Log in to UNN Portal again.
    • Enter JAMB Registration Number, Confirmation Number, and Invoice Number.
    • Print the admission slip and complete the acceptance form online.
  • Proceed with Other Fees and Registration
    • Follow instructions on the UNN website for further payments and course registration.

Important Information for Candidates

  • The admission is provisional.
  • If a candidate is later found to lack the required qualifications, the admission will be withdrawn.
  • Candidates must accept the admission within two weeks of the announcement.
  • The deadline for acceptance is Friday, 7th February 2025.
  • Failure to accept the offer by this date means forfeiting the admission.

FG Scraps JSS, SSS and Introduces 12-Year Basic Education

The Federal Government has announced the removal of Junior Secondary School (JSS) and Senior Secondary School (SSS) in Nigeria.

A new 12-year basic education model has been introduced, making education compulsory and uninterrupted until students reach 16 years.

Changes in the Education System

The 6-3-3-4 system has been replaced with a 12-4 structure.

The government has also proposed setting 16 years as the minimum age for admission into tertiary institutions.

This decision was discussed at the 2025 extraordinary National Council on Education (NCE) meeting held in Abuja.

The Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa, announced the reform, stating that the change will ensure continuous learning without systemic barriers.

This screening is for candidates seeking admission into the Law programme for the 2024/2025 academic session.

Eligibility for Application

The following candidates can apply:

  • Candidates who selected FUOTUOKE as their first choice in the 2024/2025 JAMB UTME, chose Law, and scored at least 140.
  • Candidates who did not select FUOTUOKE as their first choice but wish to study Law and scored at least 140.

Candidates in the second category must change their institution to FUOTUOKE through the JAMB website and select Law.

Method of Application

Candidates must pay a non-refundable fee of N2,000 using an Interswitch Verve or Mastercard debit card.

The online application form is available at FUOTUOKE E-Campus Portal.

Documents Required for Online Application

Candidates must upload the following:

  • Digital passport photograph (JPG format).
  • Scanned copy of WAEC/NECO O’ Level result (PDF format).
  • Scanned copy of Local Government Area identification letter (PDF format).
  • Scanned copy of Birth Certificate or Age Declaration (PDF format).
  • O’ Level result scratch card information (for verification).
  • Valid email address and phone number.

Special Instructions

  • The uploaded passport photograph must be digital.
  • Candidates using two O’ Level results must upload both scratch card details.
  • Invalid email addresses or phone numbers may affect the application process.

Application Timeline

  • Application opens: Monday, 3rd February 2025.
  • Deadline: Two weeks from the application start date.

Post-UTME Screening Schedule

  • The screening date will be announced after the application process.
  • Candidates must check the PUTME Screening Schedule Printout for details.

Disqualification Criteria

Candidates will not be considered for admission if:

  • O’ Level results are not uploaded on JAMB CAPS.
  • False information is provided regarding UTME scores, O’ Level grades, or state of origin.

Candidates must ensure all details are correct before submitting the application.

FUNAAB Gets NUC Approval for New Programmes
