Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) invites applications for admission into newly approved courses for the 2024/2025 academic year.

Newly Approved Courses

The following courses are now available:

  • Radiography.
  • Public Health.
  • Human Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Biomedical Engineering.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible, candidates must meet these conditions:

  • A UTME score of 200 and above for Radiography and Public Health.
  • A UTME score of 180 and above for Human Nutrition and Dietetics and Biomedical Engineering.
  • Selected Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as UTME subjects.
  • Selected or changed to ESUT as their first-choice institution in the 2024 UTME but have not been offered admission into the regular programmes.

Admission Procedure

Eligible candidates should follow these steps:

  1. Change Course on JAMB CAPS: Change your course to any of the newly approved courses on JAMB CAPS. Applications for other courses will not be processed.
  2. Register for ESUT Post-UTME: Generate an invoice at ESUT Portal, pay the application fee of N2,000 at any commercial bank or online. Candidates already registered for the 2024 Post-UTME do not need to register again.
  3. Meet O’ Level Requirements: Ensure you meet the minimum SSCE O’ level entry requirements and upload your results on JAMB CAPS.

Note

Candidates admitted into current 100-level programmes at ESUT can also apply by purchasing a redeployment form at ESUT  Portal.

Applications open on Wednesday, 22 January 2025 and close on Wednesday, 29 January 2025.

Admission Requirements

General Criteria

  • Five (5) relevant O’ Level credits, including English and Mathematics, at not more than two sittings.

Direct Entry Applicants

  • Five (5) relevant O’ Level credits, as stated above.
  • Minimum ‘A’ Level points, NCE, IJMBE, or Diploma qualifications for admission into 200-level.

Top-Up Applicants

  • Five (5) relevant O’ Level credits, as stated above.
  • HND (Credit) or Degree (Third Class) qualifications for admission into 400-level.

Course Duration

  • 100-level admission: Minimum of five academic sessions.
  • 200-level admission: Minimum of four academic sessions.
  • 400-level admission: Minimum of two academic sessions.

Lectures will only take place on Fridays and Saturdays.

Admission Requirements

Postgraduate Diploma

  • A degree from Federal University Otuoke or an approved university with at least a Second Class Honours or Third Class in related disciplines.
  • HND holders must have a minimum of Lower Credit in relevant disciplines.

Master’s Degree

  • A degree from Federal University Otuoke or an approved university with a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division).

Doctoral Degree

  • A Master’s or Professional Master’s Degree with a research thesis and a coursework CGPA of at least 3.5.

Public Health Nursing

  • Limited to holders of Bachelor of Nursing Science or equivalent qualifications.

Certificate Programmes

  • Minimum requirement is an OND from a recognised institution.

General Requirements

  • Candidates must meet O’Level requirements, including five credits in relevant subjects, with English and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.
  • Three referee reference letters must be submitted.

Taxation and Development in Nigeria: Bridging the Gap Between Policy and Implementation

Nigeria is reviewing its tax policies through new reform bills.

The competition seeks essays that examine the effectiveness of tax laws in driving national growth.

Participants must explore whether policies align with real-world implementation.

Who Can Apply

  • Open to law students from 100 to 500 levels in Nigerian tertiary institutions.
  • Not open to law graduates or students in the Nigerian Law School.

Submission Rules

  • Essays must be written by one person. Co-authored submissions are not accepted.
  • Entries must be original. Plagiarism leads to disqualification.
  • Only one submission per student is allowed.
  • Word limit: 1,500 words (excluding footnotes). No images or graphical content.
  • Formatting requirements:
    • Language: English
    • File format: Microsoft Word
    • Font: Times New Roman, size 12, double-spaced, justified alignment
