How the Programme Works

This programme actively mobilises volunteers to help combat hunger, malnutrition, and food insecurity.

Eligibility Criteria for UN FAO Regular Volunteer Programme for Africa

  • Applicants must complete secondary school education.
  • Applicants need to know at least one FAO language (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, or Spanish). Knowing a second language is an added benefit.

Basic Requirements for Nigerian Army Recruitment

  1. Applicants must be single and Nigerian citizens by birth with a National Identity Card or NIN slip and BVN.
  2. Applicants must meet the medical, physical, and psychological standards of the Nigerian Army.
  3. Applicants must have no criminal convictions.
  4. Applicants need a birth certificate endorsed by the National Population CommissionHospital, or Local Government.
  5. Applicants must have a valid certificate of state of origin.
  6. Applicants must be at least 1.68 metres tall for males and 1.65 metres for females.
  7. Non-trades applicants must be between 18 and 22 years, and trades applicants must not exceed 26 years as of 31 December 2024.
  8. All applicants must have a minimum of four passes in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB, including English, in no more than two sittings.
  9. Applicants for trades roles must also have a Trade Test/City Guild Certificate.
  10. Applicants must bring warm clothing (cardigan, head warmer, hand glove, blanket) to the screening centre.
