UBA National Essay Competition 2025
The UBA National Essay Competition is part of the UBA Foundation’s educational initiative.
The goal is to promote a reading culture and foster healthy competition among students in Nigeria and across Africa.

Prizes for the UBA National Essay Competition
The UBA Foundation has set up attractive prizes for the winners of this year’s competition:
- Winner: N7,500,000 (Educational grant to any African university).
- First Runner-up: N5,000,000 (Educational grant to any African university).
- Second Runner-up: N3,500,000 (Educational grant to any African university).
Eligibility Criteria
To participate in the UBA National Essay Competition, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a Nigerian Senior Secondary School Student.
- Provide complete contact information.
- Upload a handwritten essay of no more than 750 words (typed essays are not accepted).
- Upload a recent passport photograph.
- Upload a scanned copy of your Birth Certificate, National ID, or International Passport.
